LOOKING BEYOND PAIN

At Pillar Performance our ultimate goal is to help you achieve your physical fitness goals, while minimizing the chance of re-injury

Continuing to develop the root cause of your injury (which is not necessarily where you experienced pain) will help get you back to doing what you love at pre-injury levels

You benefit from doctorate level physical therapy knowledge with years of personal training experience to create a customized training program

We evaluate the function of the body as a whole, not just at the singular point of pain, injury or weakness

We utilize movement screening to identify areas of weakness while analyzing the interactions of each joint, to help you get back on track. Stronger.

WHAT PATIENTS ARE SAYING

Can't say enough about Sam and the Pillar Performance facility! Went to see Sam with back pain that I've struggled to deal with for 10 years. Sam gave me exercises that drastically improved my day-to-day symptoms from day one and over time helped to build up functional strength that prevented any further injuries. - Sam Beck

Sam tailored a program specific to my goals, which included a combination of strength and PT. I appreciated the 1x1 time and the fact that Sam kept me accountable. - Irene Starygina

Sam has helped me reach goals beyond my biggest expectations, such as running 5 miles and sitting in a car for 2+ hours pain free, neither of which I thought were realistic. I personally have been to numerous PT offices throughout NYC, and I have never felt more confident in the treatments and one-on-one sessions as I do with Sam and Pillar Performance! - Rob Wald

TRAINING PROGRAMS TO HELP YOU ACHIEVE FITNESS GOALS

Once you've fully recovered from your injury and pain, what will you do to avoid re-injury?

We take a holistic approach to programming - factoring in lifestyle, nutrition/hydration habits, sleep patterns, and overall recovery as part of our integrated approach

Your body is a complex system of joints and muscles, all of which need to operate symbiotically

When necessary, we program specific modifications that allows patients to continue to exercise safely, even in the presence of pain.

We accomplish this through some of the following methods

Movement screening to identify asymmetries and areas of weakness

Slow-motion running mechanics analysis

Goal-oriented personal training with a purpose
